Americans spend more than nine hours a week in their cars. That's deplorable, but true. We think you should spend as little time in your car as possible. While you're in your car, we believe you should be able to listen to good music, well reproduced - and it should sound great even with the sunroof open and the windows down.
We also think you should have the confidence that if your phone rings, you can answer it with your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road (but more on that later).
A dirty little secret of the industry is that the speakers sold to big chain stores are designed for demo rooms, not for cars. The reasoning is that if the speaker sounds great in a car (installed low and at ninety degrees to your ears) it will probably sound bad in a display room (installed up high, and pointing right at your ears). If the speakers at a big chain store sound bad in the display board, no one ever buys them, and they're a commercial failure - and no one wants to be part of a commercial failure. So, the speakers are designed from the ground up to sound best in a display.
avincar does very little with working speaker displays - we decided that they're deceptive and misleading. We'd rather let you listen to our demo cars' Avincar Certified Sound system (we often change out the speakers if you call ahead with a request), and take advantage of our thirty-day tryout plan on speakers.
Bass and treble can be most impressive at first, but if the midrange isn't right, nothing else matters. The human ear is most sensitive to the midrange, because that's where voices are. We are about detailed, accurate sound - not building reality-TV show cars with pounding bass.
We think your car is fine the way it is - the speakers are lousy, but the car itself is fine and doesn't need big changes. Except when installing custom systems, cutting metal is not allowed, nothing we do will impede mechanics at work later, and everything functions the same way when we're done as it did before.
So we have Bluetooth handsfree kits for what we hope is safer driving. They mute the radio automatically, so you can enjoy your music without worrying about missing a call.
We know auto security very well. We don't sell any alarm system unless we think it's reliable, discerning, and robust. Every install we do uses components above and beyond what came in the box.
avincar exists to help people have better music systems in their car - affordably, profitably, and with our integrity intact. No sale is more important than your satisfaction or our integrity.
You have thirty days after the sale to change your mind after buying basic autosound or an Avincar Certified System. If you're not happy, we will return the car to its original stock condition, and refund your money entirely. We also allow exchanges so you can make sure your gear is right for you.
We don't offer this guarantee on custom systems that are installed on a case-by-case basis, because they often involve modifying the car - and likewise on basic systems that involve modifications - but we still allow product exchanges for thirty days.
Finally, we will measure your system's performance using our precision audio analyzer, and tune the system afterwards, for as long as you own your car (please ask us for details on this program).
We don't install remote start systems in manual-transmission vehicles.
We don't install video displays in the dash to be watched by the driver when driving.
We don't sell equipment that we don't like.
We don't install alarms with sensors turned up so that they cause annoying false triggers over and over.
And we don't install equipment of dubious origin - i.e., with the serial numbers scratched off.
We could, we just don't.
