Here's a couple of little-known facts about speakers.
Many big "names" in speakers haven't owned a factory in years. Subcontractors allow small companies to get into the speaker business, but some of them run shoddy factories and provide slapdash product, without hurting their own brand - since they don't have one.
Since speakers in a board are usually high off the floor and pointed at you, they sound very different than speakers in a car, mounted low and pointed 90 degrees away from you. It's a longstanding industry rule that if your company sells speakers to a big chain store, those speakers have to sound good in the display room, even if that means their in-car performance suffers. A lot.
The best sound results from employing improvements learned over time. Changes to the frame or the grille design usually don't affect sound quality.
Well, avincar doesn't own a speaker factory. Still, avincar speakers are a little different. They're not designed for looks, they're designed for performance and value. Since 95% of the speakers installed today don't need new grilles, we don't include them - saving cost. We use off-the-shelf cosmetic parts, saving the tooling costs unique and glitzy trim rings require. No non-functional magnet covers or tweeter rings here.

Rather than spending money on tooling to make them look unique, we spent time listening and testing, designing audiophile-grade passive crossover filters that allow us to extract all the performance possible from each speaker in your car. We honestly don't pretend that avincar speakers are the "best speakers ever". We carry $800 speaker sets from audiophile brands like DLS, a/d/s/, and Dynaudio (available only through independent specialists), which offer even higher performance. But in the one-to three-hundred-dollar range, we think that avincar speakers outperform anything else out there.
